For a foal that is growing rapidly, feed the mare

Serve as a supplement to the forage ration of broodmares during the last trimester of pregnancy and throughout lactation. The daily amount of Jument 16% Liberté feed to include in the ration may vary from 0.3 to 4 kg per day. When adjusting the amount of feed, consider the mare's physiological state (pregnancy or lactation), body condition, and the quality of the forage provided. Divide the daily portion of Jument 16% Liberté feed into 2 or even 3 meals if the amount exceeds 1 kg per day.

Add a mineral and vitamin supplement (6-3 cubé or 16-10 Liberté) to adequately meet the animal's nutritional needs. Provide the mares with quality forage to optimize their intake. Aim for a minimum forage consumption (hay and/or pasture) of 1.5% of the animal's body weight. Hay analysis is recommended to properly balance the diet. Provide a free-access white salt block. Fresh, clean water should be available at all times. Ensure a gradual transition: any diet changes should be made gradually over a period of about 10 days.

For specific dietary recommendations, please contact an agronomist.
