A nutrition that meets their needs

Much smaller than dogs and cats, small domestic mammals provide a valuable advantage and are just as interesting, attractive, and endearing. In urban environments, their popularity among animal enthusiasts is undeniable. Among them, the guinea pig is the small rodent from the Cavidae family that loves to be cuddled the most.

Its diet, very similar to that of rabbits, requires special attention regarding its vitamin C content. Among the rodent family, the guinea pig is the only one that does not possess the essential enzyme for converting glucose into ascorbic acid (vitamin C). In short, it cannot synthesize the vitamin C it needs. Therefore, it is crucial for it to receive an adequate supply of vitamin C in its diet to compensate for this deficiency. Otherwise, it will suffer from severe vitamin C deficiency, drastically shortening its lifespan.

Nature Bélisle's guinea pig foods are rich in digestible fibers and well-balanced in protein and energy, while also being enriched with vitamins and minerals, ensuring these essential vitamin C contributions are not overlooked. This is a guarantee of longevity for your favorite companion.

ENRICHED WITH VITAMIN C, A MUST-HAVE FOR THEM!
